Finally got my 2 large cross stitch pieces back from the framers.
Really liking the look of these together, didn't use a pattern for either of these just made it all up as I went along. Was quite a lot of work although think they look work it.
Think I've got cross-stitch in my DNA though, my Grandma was a legend with an embroidery needle, can only hope to develop her level of skill with practice.

Crafty Project Number 1 – Bedspread / Quilt
I love the closy bed spreads, they are so on trend this season but are so incredibly expensive there is no way I'd ever be able to justify buying one nor would I ever be able to face using it if I did spend the money for fear of damaging it in some way. So I am embarking on a mission to get a luxury home look at a fraction of the price.
I've bought a basic duvet cover and quilt stuffing and here I go
So far I've machined the stuffing inside the duvet and now tacking on the lines I want to stitch to get the quilted effect

Thankfully these dont need to be too neat as I'll be unpicking them fairly soon hopefully and putting this on the bed in the spare room....yippee...
